Need Advice or Help..please help - ADD / ADHD Message Board

I suffer from ADD or ADHD depending on different diagnosis. It's very hard for me to stay focused and get through the day. My life is starting to become taken over from my lack of concentration and inability to get stay focused.

Just recently a co-worker offered me a dosage of Adderall 20MG and I was amazed by how well it worked. It was a dream come true and I actually felt focused and it got me through the day.

My current problem is that I don't know how to get Adderall or the procedure? Can someone help direct me in getting it. I live in NYC and don't know how to proceed.

See a psychologist that specializes in ADHD and get a full evaluation. You may not need Adderal. Non-med therapy might work for you. Be advised that Adderal is extremely addictive and should not be used unless all other resources are exhausted first. It is illegal to share a prescription of Schedule II drugs. Penalties include jail time.

Don't worry I am 22 years old I was diagnosed with ADD when I was a sophmore in high school. I am now taking Adderall XR and it is the greatest thing ever. Its like a new world. The first step is to get to a psychologist or your family doctor can direct you to one if necessary. Believe me you will be glad you did. People like us understand what its like to go everyday feeling like your mind is racing. Good luck to you!
