How come children with ADD, AHDH etc get off everything?

At school children with these problems bash up other children and get minor suspensions max and if someone without one of these problems do it they would get expelled.

If children with add, adhd etc want to go to a normal school shouldn't they get treated like normal children?

Wow, I take it you are angry and bitter over something. There is very much a no second chance policy in most schools and I see kids (ADD and NT) being suspended & expelled for really weird things all the time. I'm sorry if there is a problem in your school.

ADD is a neurological disorder. It's not something that the kids want to have. Kids can be taught over time how to deal with this disorder but it won't magically disappear. ADD kids are normal, they just do things differently. They learn differently and have a tough time sitting still sometimes. It depends on the severity of the disability. There are kids with ADD and Aspergers that are sent to Juvi just for grasping someone's arm.

If a child is add/adhd and has an IEP, it will probably take an act of God to get that child removed from a public school.

Not up here. Kids can have all the IEP's they want but it never includes anything like hitting or hurting someone else. That is never allowed and should never be allowed.

Hi Pink
I suffered a very nasty sprain shoulder because one of my students grabbed my right arm and twisted it backwards. A manifestation meeting was held and it was decided because of his disability he didn't know any better. The student is back in my classroom You're lucky to be in a place that doesn't allow hitting..etc
