hi...i'm new to the boards, but i'm very glad i found them...hopefully i can find some additional help here, and maybe even help others..

i am a 23yr old Male, and weigh 190lb...in hindsight, i see how as long as i can remember, i've fit nearly every characteristic of a person who has ADHD...the last several years, the doctor i was seeing refused to consider it - until i finally went to a different doctor, who gave me the proper testing...sure enough, he said i should be taking ADHD medication..

well that was 3 weeks ago, and i was prescribed 20mg (time released) ONCE per day, in the morning on an empty stomach...i felt NOTHING, and roughly 10 days later, i tried taking 20mg twice a day (once in the morning, and again 4-6 hours later)...i still feel nearly no difference, but do not want to try to make more in a single day because my medication will run out well before the end of 4 weeks..

i know medications and dosages vary greatly for everybody, but i'm curious what any of you suggest i do as far as talking to my doctor about increasing the dosage, and what might be the next reasonable amount to try..

i also have been taking 60mg of Strattera & 40mg of Prozac (for my depression)...while i'm excited that i may finally be able to maximize my ability to function within my life, i'm also anxious for it to happen - dealing with it has been a huge weight on my back, and i'm now FINALLY graduating college with my finance degree, but i'm scared to accept a real job as i am, and let down a company that hires me...i just know it would be wrong to do..

any help would be GREATLY appreciated...thanks!
