Just started Strattera and have a weird side effect, could someone please advise? - ADD / ADHD Message Board

Ok so I started on 25 mg Strattera. At first I felt a fast heart race, which is ok for me, but then I slept a whole lot. Today, however, I have this weird feeling in the back of my head. It feels like a weird buzzing sensation. What should I do? Is this normal?

It feels very bizzare, as if the back of my head is vibrating.

I think maybe talk to your doctor. If it really bothers you, stop the med, it's up to you. My mother-in-law used to tell me she thought medication shouldn't make you feel bad, so she's thrown so many meds down the toilet because of side effects over the years.

It's funny, but she's in great health despite this in her later 70's....so I guess she didn't need those ADs, Lipitor, water diretics, thyroid meds, etc. etc. that she had been prescribed over time. Her latest checkup was perfect.

i have tried strattera for 6 months i was up to 80 mil a day and I hate it!! the frist 2 months were great but after that every thing went down hill when my doc tried to add welbutrin i knew it was time for me to change docs, I have stoped taking it and switched to adderallIR yesterday, so far ok but I am only at 10mil once aday no weird side effects yet, but i have noticed that i get really tired and hungry? not sure what that means
