| Re: adult add careers
yes it is extremely common. People whether adults or children get very bored & distracted easily with ADD/ADHD. I have ADHD as does my 21yr old daughter. It is hard to stay focused & we both find the more busy or active the job is the better we do. My daughter has went through so many jobs it has become a joke, we just ask her if she is trying to work at every business in our city. She is easly bored & not very patient at all. She does have to be careful, as do I, as much as we love active jobs we can get over whelmed by taking on to much or trying to multitask to many things. It can be hard to find a job that you can really say you enjoy. I do think we both get bored with any type of work we do, I have learned that is the way I am & that is that, my daughter has yet to learn that. She often wants to blame it on the job. She always starts out loving it then with in months hating it. So a job that keeps you moving abit & somewhat a challenge would problably be wise. My daughter is currently (at a snails pace) attending college, I have told her a million times to choose wisely, that even though a career sounds like it would be great she has to remember that there has got to be somewhat of a challenge & not a sit behind a desk all day type of deal, she would go crazy. Really wise of you to put up this thread, I have often wish my daughter would investigate such as you are. Good luck
