| Re: Adderall and Spelling mistakes...
cme12299,
My thought is that the Adderall is merely helping you be able to hyper-focus. I can be in "reading mode" where I am able to focus on what I'm reading, or "writing mode" which enables me to marshall my thoughts into (hopefully) coherent messages. It's difficult for me to do both well during a given period. That is, I have to switch back and forth between them. My suggestion is to get your thoughts out without worrying about spelling (the English language isn't the easiest even for good spellers!!!), and then switch to "reading mode" and check for spelling.
I'm assuming that most of your writing is on the computer. I can't write worth beans on paper any more. Or rather -- I always used to panic at the thought of trying to compose on paper -- the computer has been my savior. I can write, rearrange, expand and delete thoughts, and then at the end read it over for spelling and minor clarifications.
If you're having to turn in hand-written assignments, then perhaps someone else has some suggestions for you. My brain goes into spasms just thinking about it.
