Adderall XR and Blood Pressure Meds - ADD / ADHD Message Board

I have been on Adderall XR for about 2 years with great results. Currently taking 20 mg per day. Within the last 6 months or so, my blood pressure has been high. I am a 43 year old female. My doctor has recently added a blood pressure medication, Lisinopril 10 mg per day, to my treatment regimen.

Anyone else combining blood pressure meds with Adderall XR? If so, are you having good results, bad results, or no results at all?

I haven't found anything in my research dealing with Adderall XR and blood pressure meds so any input would be appreciated!

I have not found any interactions between the two drugs either, however, a side effect of Adderall XR is increased BP. That could be the cause of your elevated BP.

I was taking Dextroamphetamine with my high blood pressure medicine. I have switched to Adderall XR in the last month. I have not had any negative side effects with either. My blood pressure stays within normal limits. You should be fine. Consult with your doc or pharmacist if you are unsure.

I just started Adderall, and also on lisino/HCTZ for high blood pressure. I am not finding any adverse effects from the combination. In fact, my blood pressure is continuing to drop down to more reasonable levels.
