Immortal Qi ??? (anyone know about this) - ADD / ADHD Message Board

Hey I got prescribed Immortal QI for my ADHD .

Does anyone know about Immortal Qi?

I'm very cautious about what I put in my body, I don't want to have to deal with side effects, that I could of prevented.

I have been told that it you take supplements your body stops producing what the supplement produces, therefore making you worse off when you aren't on the supplements, and I would haaaate that.

For example Immortal Qi increases cardio energy in athletes, but if I stop taking this would I be handicapped in comparison to before ever taking this? (aathletics are my life, so I cant afford that).

Please If anyone knows anythign about this, spsecifically the possible side effects please help me out.

It was prescribes by a nuturalpath, and all he said was that it is specific for ADD, as well as gives long distance runners better cardio endurance (which scares me, because I am an ahtlete, and I don't want ot be disadvantaged once I stop taking Immortal Qi).

I looked up immortal Qi. Under the theory of Chinese medicine, there are certain herbs that influence your body in one way, and others that have the opposite effect.

Immortal Qi contains both mixed together, which to me sounds like turning on the heat and the air conditioning at the same time.

Probably it contains a mild stimulant, in which case you might as well be taking Ritalin, which is regulated by the FDA, or coffee, which is cheaper. If it's not a stimulant, I would be extremely surprised if it does much of anything.

In your opinion do you think that Immortal Qi would have less side-effects than Ritalin, because its a "chinese herb..natural"?

Thanks so much. I went to a b naturopath because I really value health, but I am so in the dark with these type of things.
