ADD/SSI - ADD / ADHD Message Board

My son has ADD and MR which has been diagnosed by a Psychiatrist. He is 13. He has been on medication ever since 1st grade and he is the 7th now. I have been wondering about SSI for him and for myself as I have severe asthma. I will try and get the paperwork at the SS Department. Is there anything else that I need to do in order to get it initiated? What monies am I limited to make in order to qualify for SSI?

Each state has different rules and regulations. Why not check the social services website for you state to see if they list the guidlines there or if not they will at least have a number you can call for further information.
