Post sigh, another Adderall ?

sorry for the many questions.

on the 20 mg Adderall, it helps me focus but not after a dizzy, light headed feelings. If i can sit or lay down im ok, i can stand but getting up makes me dizzy for a few seconds. I need the focus for finals next week (i dont think there is a possibility of me getting 15s before then). today i tried my sisters 10s and it didnt do a whole lot. i think im oging to live with the feeling of the 20s but could it potentially be harmful?

Are you on regular adderall or adderall XR ?
If you are on regular adderall you can break the 20mg pill into 1/4=5mg, 1/2=10mg, 3/4=15mg, until you see your doctor next.

Do not break the tablet into four pieces unless there is a score line going each direction. If there is a score line it can be broken on the score line but to break it any place there isn't a score line is dangerous as you don't know that you will be getting a proper dose. You really do need to update the doc about your side effects and have him call the pharmacy with a different dosage for you. Call your docs clinic today and ask to speak to his nurse and tell her your side effects etc. She will talk to the doc and get back to you. Most likely he will call in a different dosage to your pharmacy for you.

Out of curiousity why would it be dangerous to cut the pill without the score?

It would be difficult, but if you have a pill cutter it shouldn't be a problem. You can buy a pill cutter at any drug store for about 5 bucks. If you honestly feel you'd be better on 15 mg instead of 20mg and you think this is the correct med but wrong dose, ask your doctor about cutting 1/4 off. I'm sure he'll agree and say go ahead and try it and if it does help better, make an appt so he can prescribe the 15mg pills. No use wasting the medicine if you're just going to try it, just make sure you ask your doctor.

if thers a score that means it can be cut, that there are equal amounts of everything on both sides, without one, 60% of the medicine could have settled in one half during the processing and 40% on the other
