Adderall users here - ADD / ADHD Message Board

Hey guys, for all that are on Adderall, what is your weight and what dosage are you on? My sister weighs 125 and shes on 10 mg and i weigh 8 pounds more and am on 20. she doesnt get any side effects and i am kind of light headed right now, im wondiering if that is more than I hsould have.

The dosage is usually not based on weight unless it would be a small child. Usually the doc looks at your symptoms etc and decides from there what to try for a starting dose. If the lightheadedness continues update the doc and see what he recommends.

finding the therapeutic window for a CNS stimulants is based on how fast or slow your body metabolizes the drug. it's a balancing act and everyone is different. correct dosages for these are usually found by trial and error beginning with the lowest dose and changing it based on positive or negative symptoms. your doc can help you with that.

I weigh 125 and I am on 40mg twice daily.

I weigh 150 and am on 40 mg per day...I was also on 40 mg when i weighed 110 before i got pg ..how my ADD DR prescribes his meds is he started me out at 10 mg, then had me add 1/4 of a tablet every 3 days til I was at my right dosage...then we stopped it at whatever amount I noticed the change:-)
