DO you guys think abou Long Term Side Effects of this drugs? - ADD / ADHD Message Board

Sometimes I believe I have ADHD... or maybe its my anxiety its creeping up on me.

So many parents trying to help their children... I guess its the hardest job in this world

So do you guys like worry, what are the out come of long term side effects of this old and new ADHD drugs?

any committed parent worries about the effects. Some need it to survive. So it makes it all worth it. You do what you have to do as a parent for your children. That is why we all on here to learn as much as possible from each other.

of course loving parents have those concerns...we all do the best we can with the information we have. We can't judge each other.

I have offend wondered about the long term effects. It was the main reason I waited putting him on meds. But finily had to because of school. I sure hope it was the right choice. I worrie about liver damage down the road..

I understand the pressure put on parents today regarding school. But it is still your choice and maybe in awhile your kid could slowly wean off the drugs and find other avenues. The need to pass thru grades 1-12 is obvious, but C's and D's will accomplish this as well as A's and B's. It doesn't mean your child will fail in life, especially if that special interest is found and pursued as career. There is life after grade school...
