RITALIN AND PAXIL CR - ADD / ADHD Message Board

Hi,
I am 30 years old and recently I have been put on these two meds. I have never taking any meds before but now that I am on them I sure know I needed them for years. Anyway does any of you take paxil and ritalin together and also dr. has me on klopin at bedtime. The ritalin i was prescribed was 20mg. this is my first month on it the first week or two i didnt notice any different but then i upped my dose to 1 and 1/2 a day so like 30mg. one day last week i started to have a panic attack so I also took a klopin durning the day which my dr. said too if I needed to. That was the worst day of my life, i have never ever been on drugs, but I looked like some kind of junkie. Now since i have up the dose 10mg, did this on my own without asking my dr. and the panic attacks have stopped completly.. So do you think maybe I should just talk to my dr. about up the ritalin to 30mg a day instead of 20mg and telling him because I cant take the klopin with the other two?

Yes, always discuss meds and dosages with your doctor!

i've never taken any ADD medication except stratara and the dr put me on ritalin and i've been on it 10 days but i started at 20mg every 3-4 hours. I don't think I would have felt a change at 20mg a day or even 30 but we all react different and i guess if 20 or 30 works for you that's great that you do not have to take a higher dosage. Does anyone take more than 60mg a day

Never adjust your own meds without a docs ok. DO not increase or decrease your meds without first checking with your doctor.
