Yup I take it. It doesn't help me by itself; however, in combination with adderall it helps. I like it because it makes smaller doses of medication more effective. Also consider DL-phenylalanine; although, of the two, tyrosine would be better.

Thanks.

L- Tyrosine is a nonessential amino acid synthesized in the body from l-phenylalanine. It is intimately involved with the important brain transmitters -- adrenaline, norepinephrine, and dopamine. L-tyrosine is a precursor to norepinephrine, a hormone that elevates moods, increases mental alertness, decision making and memory. It is also a precursor to melanin, the pigment of skin and hair. Vitamin C is needed for the metabolism of l-tyrosine

------------------------

DL-Phenylalanine is a mixture of L-Phenylalanine and D-Phenylalanine. L-Phenylalanine is rapidly absorbed by the intestinal track to help relieve pain and depression. D-Phenylalanine is gradually converted to the L version. DL-Phenylalanine increases neurotransmitters like phenethylamine, dopamine, noradrenaline, and endorphins that elevate moods. It is needed to produce tyrosine, which is a precursor to norepinephrine, a mood elevator.

There are some good responses to questions on this chat under Vitamins/Suppliments and Alternative medicine.
----------
Amino Acids are considered essential or non essential. There are twenty-two known with four that are essential for personality and moods that must be obtained from foods on a daily basis. There are actually more then 22 but their relationship in the body are unknown at this time. They are essential to life. Pharmecuticals only enhance or destruct amino acids. Psychotropic drugs distort the amino acid L. Tryptophan which is important to humans in many ways. L. Tryptophan can be obtained by using 5 HTP which is converted to L. Tryptophan. An Amino acid must be present for vitamin absorbtion. A search vehicle is a powerful tool before use of any pharmecutical product including psychotropic drugs.

I have a question about l-phenylalanine.. the precurser to l-tyrosine,, if you need vitamin c to aid in the matabolization of l-tyrosine do you also need it for l-phenylalanine? i know it sounds dumb.. but i am also on adderall and vitamin c and adderall don't mix well it decreases the absorbtion on adderall, so how would i take these two in conjuntion withought running into mishaps? thanks for your time
