I just started Ritalin LA
so far so good, just today
I stared my first month (Nov.) with Ritalin (regular like a 4 hour)
then she tried me on Adderall (Dec.) which lasted a long time,
I guess it was regular release but for me it lasted all day
and if I had too much (which 10mg was) it interrupted my sleep...
I would crash, sleep four hours, be wide awake for an hour, sleep four
even when I was taking 5mg or 7.5 mg of adderall...it was like still
every other day I was lazy, procrastinating and distracted....
in my opinion...I think it's the way my body processes that med...
it stays in my system longer than the Ritilan...and when I take my next dose...it accumulates and makes me over-medicated?
bothers my sleep...etc.
(someone told me the half-life is like 2 days for adderall, I guess that's how long the med stays in your system, I never knew that term, half-life)
My doc told me today that there are many different meds to try...
so I just told her what I liked about the Ritalin, but that it needed to last longer and so this month we will see how it goes....
thus, I got Ritalin LA 20mg
I go back January 18th
