Post Don't you just love Veggies?

I know this may sound weird, but I am absolutely loving eating and being healthy these days! I have started cooking as I have more spare time and its quite soothing and enjoyable - plus if you put in a lot of effort you get the reward of a yummy meal at the end!!! And I heard that cookery is the way into a woman's heart....is this true ladies?

But one thing I have noticed is how good vegetables taste!!! The past two weeks I have made an effort every night to cook something nice and accompany it with plenty of fresh veggies - sweet corn, broad beans, mange tout, fine beans, peas, sprouts. courgettes. Nothing tastes better! Also fruit! I love a nice juicy fresh orange! Strawberrys are in season and on offer in the supermarket! Delicious!

Anyone else feel the same way about fresh fruit and veg or have I really lost the plot this time???

J/K of course. I thought I would answer your post since I am trying to keep my mind off my restless legs. day 1,2, and three are a real ***** coming off opitates ya know. It is three thirty am here in california and have not slept in 2 days so excuse the spelling. I just can not sleep. I am at the point where my body is exausted and still cannot sleep. I am shaking and have the good ole creepy crawlies you get when detoxing. can take any kind of bezo to help me sleep because....get this....im allergic to them. aint that just great. i have my couple of darvocet and my nightly remeron and that is it. i wonder if the body will just say screw it and shut down if you dont sleep. hummmm.....will I eventually fall alseep no matter what. I mean can I be in physical danger from not sleeping. like my body starting to fail. well great now im scared. anyway...what did you say about veggies? j/k...yes they are but ny favorite of all is the nectorene. well day 2 of sobriety...see you on the other side of tonight....heheheheh. hey im giddy with no sleep give me a break here.

Good Morning healthyhrealer....Naw your doing just fine but you mentioned a few veggies I have never heard of lol.
The ones that begin with C and how can you handle sprouts? lol. Mind you when I was pregnant for my first child 21 years ago my craving was sprouts and Italian dressing.
Can't even look at them now lol. I agree with all the rest though love brocilli and cauliflower too, now to keen on strawberries unless they are frozen with sugar over ice cream. We should give ya your own section here. "Healers Corner" lol. Add some Red Bull to that and you got a meal Have a wonderful day its always nice reading your posts.
Autumn.

Tim... I know what you are feeling my friend I have detoxed from Percocets before for 2 weeks when I didnt get a refill before I went on vacation to MO. I figured tylenol or something would work for my pain while I was there. I am sorry you cant take Ativan it got me through mine at the time...Ativan, Immodium and Red Bull Yes Red Bull ask HealthyHealer about that stuff lol. They dont have it here in Canada but its in the states. Please try and sleep even an over the counter sleep aid might help you. what day are you on? I thought you were further than 3. Maybe it was someone else I read was on day 8. You have my support Tim and I am proud of you for what its worth Take a hot bath it will settle those legs down and get rid of some of the aches. Take an Advil and soak in the tub, it might even relax you enough to sleep. What are you detoxing from again? Vicodin? They dont have that here in Canada but I have tried it when a friend from NY came here and he had some. Similar to Percs but not as strong. You can do this post as often as you want to keep your mind and hands busy I will answer them all if thats what it takes to help you through this. God Bless you and be strong Tim...It gets better.

Luv
Autumn.

Hey Tim,

Hang in there you are doing great!!! Hey and you ain't the only one awake - It is 1:26 pm in the afternoon here in Manchester England where the weather is awful! At least you got some sunshine to look forward to tomorrow/today in Cali if you aint sleeping through it!!!

I don't know too much about opiate withdrawels but good luck!!!

Nectarines are very good. I also love pineapples. Definitely nectarines over peaches though!!!

Cheers and hang in there!

Thanks guys for answering my post. I am a little better in the stability dept. right now. I still have not slept yet but feel okay right now. It is about 630 here in california and everyone is getting up right about now if they have to work early. Since I need to preoccupy my time(please disregard the spelling mistkes, my hands are real shakey) I think I will tell yo a little of my story. But first I must ask if I did a no no. I was feeling so aweful I did something I haver never ever done. I drank a wine cooler to relax me. I have never tasted a drop of alchohl in my 29 years. I helped alot. But I am scared about drinking a wine cooler because my father is an alcholic. Did I do a no no? I bought two...drank one and have one in the fridge. Anyway, I am 29 years old that lives here in Bakersfield California. I have no kids, and right now am withour a steady girlfriend. I went to college and now a Medical Technologist for a group of pulmonary doctors here in town. Before my addiction I swore I would never end up like those "regulars" that doctors see and never took a pill unless it was a vitiman. Well I got sliightly hurt and my grandmother(who just passed away, God bless here soul)gave my a few Vicoden for the pain. I took one and felt great(not pain wise but high as a kite wise) Well thatstarted it. I worked in a doctors office so I called in my own. In the years I worked there I have called in about 800 Rxs. Well time went on and I ended up taking 40 Lortab 10mg a day. One day recently I checked myself into rehab. Could not do it. Checked out AMA. Went straight to the office and stuck a needle in my arm and pushed 100mg of Demerol into me. It felt like someone dipped me in ice water after I just been burned. Ahh the feeling. Anyway I knew I could not keep that up so I bought some 1mg Xanax and was going to beat the opiate addiction. Took one...nothing....took antoher....nothing. Well I ended up taking 14 Xanax 1mg in a 2 hour period. Well after I got out of the hospital from wrecking my car beacuse I was driving on Xanax, the doctor gave me ultram(not addictive right...WRONG)for pain. Well I was up to 40 of those a day also. So I started NA meetings and started tapering. Went to an addiction specialist. Taper is what they said. So I tapered from 40 to 13 and now have gave it all up because I cannot trust myself to stary true to my schedule(I can get them anywhere)even though someone was giving me my meds. So here I am 2 -3 days into it with only a few Darvocet, my Remeron, and my wine cooler. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I feel better now that I spilled my guts to the internet world. I have to beat it this time, there is not a next time for me. I am staying at my moms for this and she has been great. Staying up with me, massaging my legs, and even going to get the wine coolers. Without her I will never make it, but because she said" This is it Timothy(she always calls me that when she is worried)you are doing it this time. Why, because I am going to help you and we wont fail" So there you go. Hope I did not rant too long. Well I will see if I can go lay down for a little bit.
Peace

Tim
