Hi All, I quit the evil oxys cold turkey 15 days ago after 3 yrs of using them. While its true I do feel some energy coming back slooooowly each day I still cannot sleep very well, can some of you veterans tell me when I might be able to sleep regular and without Ambien? Also how long does the flu like symptoms linger because I still have a slight nagging cough and slight buzz/ringing in my ears, and once in a while it feels like my heart is pounding real hard (at first my heart was pounding constantly) but has decreased some. The biggest question is how much longer before I feel good. I know if I would just take a pill I would be full of fire and energy to do anything but I will not depend on that any more. How much longer untill I feel good about life again,,,Any thoughts would be helpful,,,,Thanks

Hey mountain,first of all CONGRATS!!! Wow! 15 days is sooo awesome...another success story! Cool beaners!
Well,I've been off all opiates (I took oxys or lortab) for a month and half now and I am feeling great! It took a good 3+ weeks for the nagging crap to stop, except mine was leg pain and very bah,blah,blah feeling,depression. You know I have to agree that it is such a ssllloooowww healing process but everyday out it does get better(really!) I still have my good and bad days but ALOT more good days now and my energy is coming back in bursts....I'm not edgy anymore(crabby if you want) just hang in there and keep us posted! Take care

Well if you want the brute honest truth, it took me about 4-6 weeks before I felt really normal again. Sleep was about the same. I'd get off the Ambiem as soon as possible as you may get dependant on it. Try melatonin which is great for sleep and jet lag, etc...

Hang tough it will get better and better every day.

hey mountie,just wondering if you took the oxys orally or if you mainlined?this will make a big difference on your recovery.good luck and hang in there you can weather the storm

Spark, I was taking 1/2-whole at a bite every 4-6 hrs, I still feel my system trying to balance itself. Never again this is horrible, Im just thankful for the sucess stories from the folks that have been here and are posting, you guys are great
