I posted below. I have been taking lorcet 10 for 8-9 months, Am up to 7-8 per day. Usually 2-3 around 1pm and 3-4 at night. Reading some of these posts scares the hell out of me. Would taking 2 methadone every 2 days for a week or so get the hydro out of my system without any WD'S? Would I have WD's from the methadone after such a short period of time?

I would not mess with meth!!! That would probably create a whole different problem. Unfortunately there is no "magic"pill to make w/d disappear. It sucks, I know, I feel your pain

If you are able to do a strict wean over a week to 10 days down to nothing. That is how some in treatment faculty do detoxes. The question is what type of meth do you have if it is 40 mg wafers it would be way to hard to cut up into small enough pieces. if you have 10's start at about 20-25mgs then go down 5 mgs a day. You might still feel some withdrawl but not much. Its what you do after you get off that counts!.

My advice is to not use the meth, I tried to use ultram to come of hydro and I still felt withdrawal after I stopped the Ultram. If meth is the same it may be worse as meth has a VERY much longer half life then hydro.

do not take methadone it is the hardest to get off of i detoxed last year i did it by going to mexico and did ibogaine but still after i came home from mexico i was going through w/ds bad i went to the er 6xs i wanted to die my opinion do not touch methadone....for example i did heroin for 10 yrs. i kicked heroin in 4 days but methadone was the worst in my life and i have been a drug addict for 20 yrs. and methadone is the worst to get off. now i'm trying to detox from vicodin i've been on them for 7 months stupid me BUT they really help my back anyway....i was taking 10 a day and believe it or not i REALLY was taking them as prescribed but i still got addicted i'm down to 3 a day plus i take valium clonidine elavil i cannot afford to go inpatient i played now i pay but i did realize i can NEVER take narcotis again.....i would rather have back pain then these damm w/ds but i did i to myself.....i'll get off these i'm doind it it 5 day intervals...anyways PLEASE there are other ways to detox beside that devil methadone....."k"
