Hey girl, I went back to my orthopedic doctor today to get the results of my dicagram I had done Tue. I got some real bad news, he told me I have 3 degenerative discs above the one I just had surgery on. he said after I do some more healing from the surgery I need to have a bigger surgery to fix the 3 discs and that he would have to go in through my front side because of all the hardware that is already in my back, this sounds very scary to me!! I was not expecting this kind of news! But anyway, how are you doing these days, sounds like you are really enjoying your life right now, you are a real insperation to me!! You are a strong person and I think you and Phil should keep on helping folks on here as much as possiable, yall are truley good folks and Im really glad to have met yall!!!

OMG!! RL that sounds so scary! I'm really sorry about this.When are they wanting to do it? See,if you are still having to have all this surgury then I think you need to stick with that issue and not worry about completely getting off the opiates.Just keep your use as prescribed by the doctor. Please keep me informed! I think your one tough cookie!!!

LOL, I dont know about the tuff cookie part, but thank you for always being there for me, right now Im more worried about whats going to happen with my back vs. the Medication. Well at least with the meds I am finally going back to work Monday, been in the bed or on the computer for three straight weeks now, the doctor told me to take 3 oxycontin 20mg a day and Elavil at night, you just dont know how bad of a bind we have been getting in because of me not being able to work, so for the time being Im very thankful for the oxys, if that makes any since at all? never thought I would say that, lol!!

Hey RL,
I agree with okie, you have much bigger fish to fry at this point and shouldn't worry about the pills (other than to make sure you are only taking what the doc prescribes).

I wish you the best and hope your future surgeries are a success.
