Hi Monday,
you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. I was wondering how you and your daughter have been doing since the awful call from the hospital. Has she had any change of heart? Did the hospital recommend a program for her? How has her husband been handling all of this?
I hope that things are turning in a right direction. I have a counselor who often says "You can't scare an addict...." meaning that scare tactics don't often work to get someone clean. I agree with that to a certain extent...but I also feel, from personal experience, that scary, dangerous situations can certainly be catalysts to at least making an initial decision that you don't want your life to be like this anymore.
please check in and let us know how you are doing. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is thinking of you and hoping for the best.

Eeyore, we haven't really talked since Sunday afternoon. I am trying to leave her alone and let her deal with this on her own. I sent her an email and told her that if there is anything we can do to help her to let us know. So far, I haven't heard from her. She came by yesterday to get her drivers liscense, she had left it in my car Sunday, she was only here for about two min. Today is the day she is supposed to go to the police station, so I am jittery.

The AA/NA group I belong to suggested just leaving her alone and letting her own her own problems. This is hard for me to do, because I always thought something I said would be taken and considered and worked on. I will let you guys know.
