well everyone i started at the methadone clinic they started me on 20 mg. of meth. i couldn't do this cold turkey but than i think do i want to be on meth. and have to come off of this, the only good thing is that there are professional people at the clinic that will make it very comfortable for me. I think of all the money that i've over the years. the clinic is only 12$ per day, and i don't plan on staying on it for very long. i was taking anywhere from 10-20 lortab 10's per day. I'm gonna get on a dose that i'm comfortable with for a while than slowly cut back. The reason why i started using again is because i was so unhappy with my life with mt husband.. he was a policeman and a wicked control freak, he never knew about the pills only the 30 that i got from my dr. every month not the othe 100's i bought throughout the month. so the more unhappy with the cop i was the more pills i would take than i became out of control because my body physically and mentally needed them . So I hope the meth program will work for me. I also have a new man in my life and i really want to be happy again

hey cass...good luck to you...i know what its like...i used to eat 40 -5- a day...i too am on meth...but 60 mg..for addiction/pain...i too hail from daytona...well actually right now out in the woods...god bless

chef if you have time can you explain the whole process of the methadone clinic from start to finish.i mean what does a person need to do if you want to go this route?just curious-spark

Just wanted to wish you good luck with the Methadone. I do want to give you a heads up on the Methadone. I took it for only 11 days and had a reaction. So I discontinued it and went into a MAJOR panic attack that lasted for three days. Please use caution when it comes time for you to stop taking it. I didn't taper because of the reaction. I don't know if this happens to alot of people but I just wanted to give you a heads up. FYI, I was on this for pain management, not for addiction.

sparkster...i was goin to run a topic looking for you again...i was lookin for any reply from you and didnt see any.....how ya doin on 1mg of bupe...man,that is one low dose and i give you mucho credit....should be easy sailin...i dont go to a clinic for my meth...i see a doc who writes a script....i did do the clinic thang but that was back in 1984 and it twas not cool...i found more drugs at the clinic than anywhere else...cass better be careful cause i know they are down there on 92 also...3 folks died when i was in the clinic thing...you gotta pee first off so they can check ya for opiates,you have to be there early to see the doc and then your in...they start you off around 30mg and then you can bump yourself up in mg until you are comfortable...thats where folks go wrong...they get on too high a dose...the reason people go on meth,in my eyes,is the same they go on bupenorphine or anything else,to hide from the w/d's...we are stuck...were gonna have them one way or another,i dont care what anybody says on this board,we are gonna go thru w/d's...i betcha youll have them and you are on only 1mg of bupe...anyways the ticket is to not have them too bad anyways so, we have to wean real slow to get to that point...ill be on meth for awhile if i dont want to be too sick,you know...gotta go cook some more....be back....chef
