Hi~ I posted under another thread but wanted to contact you directly. I, too, am in Louis***** and wondering about the Subnox you are on. How did you find a doctor to prescribe it? I want off of this cycle so bad that I will try ANYTHING. I want to add for anyone else reading this, VL talks about the outside support being sooooo important. This is very true. While I was in the out-patient program after my in-patient stay, I was soooo motivated to be/stay clean. I wanted it so bad. I was clean from April to June and thought that I could go back to just a pill here and there. Now, three months later, I am above and beyond what I was taking before detox. Of course, I was taking Methadone and blame, right or wrong, having to be admitted to detox on withdrawls from that. Sorry this has become so long. Thank you so much for any reply.

Thank you for your quick reply. You are so helpful and motivational to so many people here. I don't know about you, but I think it is in some way it helps keep us clean. I know when I have been an active member on another board for my gastric bypass surgery, it kept me accountable. Once I stopped visiting and posting, I began to slip up. But I will not keep your time, so on with my questions~
First, I don't know if I am a candidate. I have been using since Nov. 2002, self-admitted into detox on April 1st and relapsed the first part of July. I can take 4 a day and stay out of withdrawls or I can take 24 a day and still feel no high. I am always chasing that buzz that never comes anymore. I can't control the craving for the "high" it once gave me. I truely believe my last salary increase I could thank to Lortabs. I am a paralegal and with those little helpers I could do the work of two people.
Does any insurance cover it? How do I find a doctor to prescribe it? How long will I be on it? Forever? I know that you have had great success with it. I look forward to any information or advice you could give me.

I'm really sorry. I try to make time for my activities on this board (because, yes, like you said, I do believe helping others in a forum like this helps us tremendously).

Anyway, I'll get back on here as soon as I can. You can go to the suboxone website and there is quite a bit of information on the site. In fact, there is a "physician locator" link on the site which will take you to the only 2 doctors certified to prescribe suboxone here in Louis*****.
