Well...here it comes.....the inevitible withdrawal. I am a cp patient, but I overdid my meds when I moved. Plus had my dr. call in my fav's....lortab 7.5's. I had 84 of those little boogers last weds and now I have 6. 6 out of 84!!!! I also take oxycontin 20mgs tid, but overdid those two. What a week I've had huh?
I have a half of oxy left for tomorrow AM. And I can only take 3 1/2's per day until my apt. on Monday to get my refills of 60 oxy and 30 percocet...oh yeah..the percs were gone last week..I am only prescribed one per day for BT pain. So here I sit...the pills in my purse next to me. Everything in me just wants to dump the bottle into my mouth, but I know how crappy I'd feel tomorrow by this time...hell I'd feel crappy by 5pm...it's 11am now. I need some encouraging words....somebody tell me not to do it!!

Oh Karen,
I have been in that position before too. I take 40mg oxycontin and over did it last month and I now vow never ever to do that again because of the unessasary heck that I put myself into! My problem is that I don't get any breakthrough meds so if I am really bad off in pain then I take an extra oxy. I now stick to tylenol for BT because WD are aweful from oxy. The only time I ever want to do that is when I don't have to take it anymore if that day ever comes. Just pace yourself on your meds and make it last until your appointment you don't want to have to go through WD. Take care and good luck Mo

i just took a half of the 7.5 vicodin. I get 2 more 1/2's today to make it until Monday. I pray for the strength to do that!! It's only 11:30 am here....I shouldn't have brought all of it with me...it's staring me in the face as we speak....

Just have faith in yourself that you can do this. I know that it is going to be hard but having wd is even harder at least maybe you can keep full WD from coming. One day at a time! Take care! Mo
