so after smoking for 9 years, i quit, using the gum, for a period of about 8 1/2 months. i felt great. was really happy and proud of myself once the withdraws wore off after a couple of weeks. i swore i would never touch the stuff agian because its so bad for you, and so hard to quit. well last month someone talked me into having a chew of tobacco, and its been back off the wagon from there. im smoking agian, and dipping smokeless tobacco. this has been going on for about a month. so im going to try to quit agian this week. i could use some motivation. anyone who has any tips for quitting and staying off this stuff please let me in on it. I DONT WANT NICOTINE!. im thinkin it may be easier to quit after using only a month as compared with the time i quit after smoking for 9 years, but i cant make myself do it. every night i say im gonna quit the next day, then i wake up and smoke! so i was hoping some of yall might have some encouraging words to help me rid myself of the nicotine monster! thanks for your help!
well let's see, what do you think your main problem is, do you smoke more for the stress relief from the nicotine it self? Or the ritual? First time I quite I started dipping in the tin myself and started right back up again. Last FEB I just got a bic pen, no Commit, no gum, first week was hell! I chewed the hell out of that pen but now I feel great, i have lots of energy and I dont smell like a smoke stack.
