Re: Question and a "hello"

im so happy that your cancer is in remission! I read all of your threads in the past.

yes, its a mental thing with the hydro craving. At times I feel that I want it too, but the not the buzz with it. I know how you feel.

I suppose all you can do is put your mind elsewhere and not think about it or you will find a way for them.

Be strong and take care!

Re: Question and a "hello"

There's a reason everyone says the mental cravings are the hardest. Which is why it is helpful to attend meetings [NA or AA] and maybe see a counselor/therapist to talk about your 'triggers'.

There may be drugs which can help you through this, but I'm no expert in that area....yet. An experienced drug counselor can be very helpful in this area as well. Keep fighting the fight, know that this is normal, and it won't last forever. And don't hesitate to get outside help.

Congratulations to you on living clean!

Re: Question and a "hello"

Kmom, do you think you are having anxiety attacks? I know I never had an anxiety attack until after quitting hydro's and I felt the same way as you. I'm sure some of it is mental, but I just wonder if some of it is anxiety.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments!!!
