Lynn, How's the tootsie?

Just checking on your recovery from the foot procedure? I'm sure Theo
and Celeste are taking good care of you. Hugs, Cat >..<

Hi, Cat!

Thanks so much for remembering...and inquiring about those "tootsies." I'd love to tell you that the foot is doing well (and is ready to tap dance--though it's never done a tap dance in its life! LOL!)--but I've just returned from the doctor. And, as I suspected, it's not doing well.

I just can't subject you to the gory medical details. But....just as a sum-up:

This bad laceration to the top of my foot just would not heal...in spite of all the visits I made to this plastic surgeon and wound specialist. After a month, he did this surgery to ensure that the skin would knit together. But, even with all the stitches, etc, holding it in place...and my lying in bed with my foot in the air until I'd memorized every crack on my ceiling....the top layer of skin died and just separated from the stitches. So...it's open again. Tho maybe a bit smaller. I just had this confirmed to me (I knew something was wrong the last few days) by Dr. S. And all that can be done is: 1) wait two more weeks and see if it begins to heal with what skin IS there....or 2) have a skin graft...which entails time in the hospital. Which I want to avoid at all costs! So....I've just gotten this bad news about 2 hours ago...and am still trying to process these two Hobsen's Choices!!! :-)

Meantime, it's back to lying in bed with 5 or 6 pillows under my foot. Needless to say, I'm not "feeling the joys of spring" right now! Sigh. But I'm not going to whine on. I'm just going to reach for another book...and get started on it!! They are all piled up next to my bed...and I'm reading two at a time alternately. Didn't think I'd have time to do this sort of thing 'til I retired! LOL!! Alice has been doing my shopping, etc. And my two canine pals hang out with me all day, every day. So....things coulda been worse, eh?!

How have YOU been doing. I'd love an update! I can't sit for too long at my computer, 'cause it hurts to "dangle" this leg....but I'm checking messages whenever I can. So...thanks a million for thinking of me!

Lynn xxx

Thank goodness for "this side" Ms. Liberal thang (Lynn will smile at that- I promise) or I would still be in the dark to your foot! Shame on you!
