Common side effects of these sedative/hypnotic drugs include excessive drowsiness, confusion, nausea, tachycardia, nightmares and even (paradoxically) insomnia. Contra-indications include pregnancy and glaucoma. These drugs are not recommended for long-term use, and withdrawal symptoms have been reported.
this is what I have found on this drug maybe you can discuss to your dr about wanting to taper and he can switch you to a different bezo that will be easier to taper off of that can be broken down so you can tapper benzo should not be stopped c/t due to the side affects so this is one option I can tell you about also may look up dr heather ashton she has a benzo tapper that has been used very successfully for others and might have some more suggestions for you.
