Day Two. Still feel pretty bad - Addiction & Recovery Message Board

Hi everyone who cares,
I just woke up and boy do I feel like I am in a fog.

I really feel like someone drugged me. I still have the hot and cold flashed, but the heart pounding and throwing up is gone. I also have another physical symptoms but would be just TMI to share.

I'm having a cup of coffee, gonna take a shower and make myself an egg and oj. Then I will figure out where the next meeting is.

I really want to thank everyone that is sending me well wishes, congratulations and support. I need it now.

Hi Marilyn,

Congratulations on making it to day 2! I'm on day 2 also, from taking 15+ norcos a day for years. I too feel awful. What are you coming off of? You sound like I feel, so maybe it's pain pills too? This really stinks, but it's our bodies getting the pills out of our system. Hang in there girl. You're going to a meeting? Good for you! I don't feel like I have the strength to leave the house. I'm going to make breakfast and bathe my daughter and myself and that might be all I can do. Well, hang in there and let us know how you're doing.

Hang in it will go away. I don't know what you were taking but I could hardly move when I was coming off of Narcotics. I am on day 22 and it took me about 20 days to start feeling good. So good for you don't give up. I had to go to detox because I was taking Oxy and Norco, 30 a day or so. I still have some symptoms but I can go to work and do life now.

Hi Debbie,

I am coming off alcohol, and lots of it daily for years. What a ride. Got the sweats, anxioius and upset stomach. I made it to another 2 meetings and I am off to another right now. Its the only place that I feel safe an thats the "shot" I need now, not alcohol. Hang in there and I will try to look you up later, I should be home around 8:00.
