Hi Marilyn, Thanks for asking. I do appreciate helping others and sharing what has and has not worked for me. It helps me also. Yes, my doc was the pills. I broke the rules of this site by posting a link to another site and was banned from the site for a couple of days-my early posts were deleted. I wish they were not because I really would like to go back and read them. I started taking them due to some orthopedic work on my shoulders. I have metal pins in both due to old football injuries and needed a tune-up. Like everyone else, I started taking a couple a day in the evening. Then started taking a couple during the day after lunch. I hated my job at the time and was a good escape while I was at work. I am a computer programmer and the place where I worked was pretty much a sweat shop-HATED IT. Anyways.....They were really easy for me to get. I would get a lot of refills on them and never had to ask twice for more. After about a year and a half, they were harder to get. I pretty much visited every urgent care and every ortho in the city. Needed the pills just to keep from getting sick. I was obsessed with them. Always thinking about them, afraid I would run out. It was a full time job just to maintain. I went into detox in June 14th of this year and man has my life changed. The day before going into detox, I received a script for 50 vics and had about a dozen percs-they were gone within 24 hours. I would usually take 12-16 each day towards the end of it.
Life is awesome now. I exercise all the time. Wife and family are closer than we ever have been. We have a cat and a hamster. I would like a dog, but the wife is against it. I need to get a male dog or something...Im a bit out numbered....I also have 2 daughers Maeve(4 yrs old) and Bridget(1.5). Love them to death.
My performance at the job is really great. I have been doing oracle software developement for over 8 years, so it comes pretty easy for me.
