Someone answer this plz

Ok so here I am on day 5 and I was wondering if anyone could tell me some ideas on getting that good ol energy back?
I am stuck in the house due to ice storm. I know i need to get up & moving. I also just want to know that this will pass. (reassure me please)

Is it normal to not crave the pills? I have no desire to take them, just want that energy back. Are the cravings going to creep up on me?

BuckeyeTim, how long do you say you have been clean? 4 years?
Can everyone repost their clean time for all of us?
by the way, where are all the seniors?

Love u guys.

Still fighting,
Amithyst

Re: Someone answer this plz

PERCMAN,thanks. And congrats on day 4!!
We are the same on this huh? I quit at 3pm on Tuesday. I count every morning that I wake up as a day. so, guess i am on day 5.

Its hard to get up and moving, but I have just given 3 kids a bath, made my bed, about to take a shower. Thats a good list huh? Too bad its the ONLY things I have done today. I have layed in bed and watched 5 movies today on the TBS channel.

I am bound and determined that I am not going to end up having this addiction run my life anymore. Does it suck, SURE! Is it hard? Oh HELL YES! Do I want to go back to the way things were before? NEVER!

So keep in touch, okay? We are in this together. My prayers are with you and I pray that you are wrapped and cuddled in my warmest wishes!

Hey Amy!

How's it going? Well, the energy will slowly come back a bit more each day. Some days you'll be feeling great, then it will drop off, come back, etc. Haha like normal people I guess. You're just not going to get the manic energy that you get with speed and pills. But the good- very good- flip side of that is that you won't ever have to deal with the come down from crank or pills if you take the normal energy that you get from being straight. I seriously have drank back to back red bulls for a little blast, popped a couple of diet pills, stupid crap but you know how it is.

As far as the cravings go, that's good you're not having them but I def. don't think you're out of the woods there. My last week, actually on day 5! is when I found lost pills in my purse. My reaction was: oh yuck, don't want those horrible things. But instead of flushing them, I put them on top of my dresser. When times got tough I started thinking about them. Maybe it's day 10- day 14 for me that the cravings get the worst. But they will come. So just be ready for them. Have a plan.

You're doing fabulous! Hang in there, it just keeps getting better.

Debbie
