i have an employee who is supposely in a methadone program but when i send out his urine it doesnt come up....i have been testing for morphine......what does methadone fall under???????
Most opiate tests won't show up methadone, you will need a test which specifies this. But in defense of you employee they are not using illegal opiates if it is showing up negative. Hope this helps.

thats exactly right,if it is negative as you say then nothing to worry about and no need to pursue the matter any more.he/she is probably a good worker and they are hard to come by nowadays.good luck-spark

spark-o-cet this is employee is my best and i also consider him my friend.....not lookin to fire him regardless of what he is doing.........just trying to help him not fall back to where he was.......does this drug have morphine in it? does it have opiate in it? wat does it come up in a test?
The answer is no...morphine will fall under opiates..methadone needs its own test just for methadone...so if you did a drug test for opiates and hes not using opiates..than methadone wont show...it will only show if you did a test that checked for methadone.
jules my good dear friend is absolutely 100% correct as usual.what she said is the way it is and nothing more to add to it.it sounds like the employee is on the road to recovery.he/she is lucky to have a caring friend such as yourself.good luck to both-spark
