also, any other recommendations for anything that gives energy. Since I quit pills my energy level is lower, I drink coffee but it's not the same. I feel tired alot still. any advice?
Yes, they do help. You can get them in most drug stores or a health food store.The B12 you can buy separately from the B complex in a higher dose. It's the B12 that gives the energy. B vitamins are water soluble which means they don't store in your system so you are better taking smaller doses a few times a day to keep the B12 level in your system at all times. I've used L- tyrosine for the past 25 years on and off. I find it helps with anxiety. Another amino acid is GABA and I find it is even stronger than Tyrosine. There are also many herbs out there that can help. My son, who is a recovering heroin and crack addict used acupuncture and found that to also help a lot. There are a lot of alternative remedies that help a lot --there is also a lot of crap out there so you need to do your research.
