This is my first post. I have been taking Norco 10/25 for about 30 days for shoulder pain. My pain issue is managable with out the pills (I think) but have been taking them still possibly to relieve some huge pressure I am under with my business....I have been sober for 19 years from drugs and alcohol, (Maybe) but think I have been slipping....yesterday I noticed I had taken about 45 of the 60 pills. I threw out most but kept kept 4 to lessen possible withdrawals. I have had to take painkillers in the past but because of my past with Marajuana, cocaine, and alcohol I usually would take only limited amounts. I am leaving for China on Sunday and am concerned I will be suffering WD symptoms. I have been averaging just under 2 a day....can anyone give me info regarding possible wd's and or ideas to lessen effect.

Markster_ thanks for posting. Because of your addiction past, I would be VERY CAREFUL. This stuff is NASTY and you can get hooked real easy. Your decision to flush some was a great one. I wish 5 years ago that I had done that. If you have been only taking 2 10/325 then you should be ok. You might get a little bowel trouble and have trouble sleeping, but a some immodium and benadryl should help with that. Just be careful. You should be proud that you went on here and asked the question before you got deeper. I still dont understand some DR's. Why would he/or she give norco for shoulder pain!! that blows me away. They wonder why we have a drug problem in this country. Hang in there man --you will be fine, just DONT GO NEAR the stuff ever again. If you need pain managment for SEVERE PAIN ask for a shortened script of like 10 5/500 pills. Then you will use as directed and not take 45 before you know it!

I suspect I will have a couple of bad days and yes that was my exact thought on the limited amount.(5-10) I knew when i was liking it that was a bad sign......funny you should say that about my Doc who I have had for a while. She is not inclined to give out pain meds that quickly but because I had a possible shoulder tear (I don't) and was in great pain she prescribed the Narco.....but 60? I should have flushed after first week!?! Once an addict always an addict....I forgot about that fact. Thanks for the wisdom.
No I kept 4...when I said 5-10 I was replying to your suggestion that if I ever needed pain meds in the future I would make sure the Doc only precribed 5-10pills... a limited amount certainly not 60.... thanks for your concern....u are good!
Not being a D**K just know how we manipulate and lie. I am the master of it. Have a good trip and forget that the pills are even an option. Take 2 benadryl and call it a night on the plane
