How Similar is Temazepam to Diazapam

My question is pretty straight forward. A pharmacist told me that the Temazepam is valium. How true is this?

That is not true at all. They are in the same class of drugs, but Temazepam is much milder than Valium. It is, however, addicting. It is generally used for sleep

Stay away from Temazepam. Temazapam and Valium are both benzos and very addictive. T has a very short half life where valium has a very long half life. If you have been taken either t or v DO NOT stop cold turkey. I made this mistake with T and I thought I was going to lose my mind. It's been about 3-4 months and I'm still having some withdrawal symtoms. As with any benzo it's best to taper down. Alot of people use V to help taper off other benzos. This is due to it's long half life. Good luck..
