What Happens

what happens to an addict mentally and physically if he/she was to take opiates again even if it was years down the road. I ask this cause I was told that the feelings come back as if you never stopped. nhguy

Re: What Happens

hey inhguy

i was clean for ten years. at first i had the odd dabble - every couple of months - nothing serious. then every couple of weeks. you can see where this is going i think! so its not like "Wow - one binge and im back to square one" - but once you have crossed that boundary - the Dam starts to crumble slowly but steadily. and before you know it you are back to square 1 - knowing what pain/struggles lie ahead to get clean - which isnt exactly a great motivator if you've just got your habbit back.

Its like an old friend who is bad news - someone who always gets you in trouble - steer clear of him - if not then he'll find out where you live and he'll eventually call on you everyday.

hope this helps

Hello In,

Depending on factors such as a person's health condition, even death is a possibility.

Respectfully,

Phoenix

Re: What Happens

Inhguy

Are you asking about taking opiates in the sense as in entertaiment or in the sense as in medical necessity?
