They generally recommend that you are in mild to moderate withdrawals before starting with Sub. Make sure you don't start it too soon, or it will bring on w/d symptoms that will make you feel like death.

what were you taking and how much? you should wait between 12 - 24 hours for short acting opiates and longer for long acting ones (like oxycontin). but tat is right, as long as you're in mild to modrate withdrawls you'll be ok.

thanks for reply. i didn't have anything for 3 days....just few narco's and then yesterday my doctor said was to late in the day to start. anyhow i was really sick, as you can imagine and took 5 perks in matter of 7 hours last one was at 10pm. it is now 11am and i'm told my insurance doesn't cover suboxone so i am presently waiting at docs office seeing what can be done. once again thanks for the reply.
