| Need info about Suboxone Usage
Hi,
My husband struggled with prescription pill abuse for years after having major reconstructive shoulder and elbow surgery. After a scary ordeal, he has done well at staying away from them. However, recently I found a pill in his jeans pocket. I was very upset and he confessed that he will occassionally take something called Suboxone when he feels the urge to take the drugs again. He says its infrequent, maybe once every couple of months.
My question is, is this normal? From what I've read on the internet regarding Suboxone, it's typically used for a short time frame after stopping drug usage. I can't find anything that says it should be used occassionally to prevent relapse. I want to trust him and be supportive, but knowing where we've been in the past regarding this issue, it's tough. Any information would be appreciated.
