I seen the Dr. last night for my evaluation to get on Suboxone. Do any of you guys know for sure if anyone has used Suboxone for getting of Ultram. I take up to 60 Ultram 50mg pills a day. While I have been informed it is not a "true" opiate, the feeling coming off the stuff sure feels like it. Also can you take something like Restoril with Suboxone? I hope you guys can help me. I was clean for over 2 years and then all heck broke loose. I want to live clean and not have to worry about where I am going to get my next pill at.
Yes CaS - I have heard of a handful of people that have used Sub to come off of Ultram, Tramadol, Ultracet, etc.... I knoow that they SAY these aren't opiates, but man - to me it felt like the same old crap.
But again - if I'm not mistaken (which I really don't think I am), Sub will definately help you with coming off of it.
WOW CLEANand SOBER.... I just re-read your post.... I guess I read it wrong. I though I saw that you were taking SIX a day.... SIXTY though? That's a buttload. I think the best advice I can give you right now brother, is to maybe try and get some professional help from a doc with this. Sixty Trams a day is a lot - and I'm pretty sure that going CT off of them would be hazardous to your health.
Good luck my friend....PLEASE keep me posted on how you're doing, cool?
Suboxone is still an opiate. The only difference is that it does not result in the "high" experienced by other opiates. The reason it helps with withdrawal is that it still occupies the same opiate receptors in the brain and therefore you will not feel the horrible withdrawal symptoms, but I would guess there's a strong possibility it would show up on a drug test.
I saw my Dr. and he put me on 8mg in the morning and 8mg in the evening. I thought you had to take each dose for the day at the same time or did I read my info they gave me wrong. Can you take doses in seperate times? I took my 8mg this morning and I feel okay. I am functioning pretty well so far. I get scared though, kinda waiting for the w/d symtoms to hit me. I go to my group counseling tonight so I feel I am on my way to recovery...again.
