That is exactly what is happening, Shine! You are learning what you are all about, how you fit into life happily. I know this is going to be such a time of discovery for you. All those little things we heard growing up take on a new importance and magnitude. For me, a big one is "to thine own self be true." I honestly lost grip on being true to myself. Stuck my head in the sand with what was happening to me. being clean now, I think so much more clearly, I think more thoughtfully if that makes sense. I am much more conscious of what I am thinking and it helps me in choices.
Keep going strong! While I never used drugs to have fun, I am having a lot more fun not using them. I laugh again... loud and hearty... and it is such a good, natural, real feeling. And the laughing and fun makes me feel better and better.
