It sounds like all is going well for you.
The weather is beautiful in Oregon. We plan to see Prince Caspian over the holiday.
I think that your name change is appropriate. Stay strong in your recovery, friend.
Today I did something unusual. I dug around in storage and found some journal entries that I wrote 25 years ago. Surprisingly, I can see the addiction monster talking in my journal. I was and always will be...an addict (not surprising). I also talked about a mental illness in me that was observed and articulated by others, something that I have buried over the years with drug abuse.
Additionaly, I could read in my words a child... looking for meaning, exposing his weaknesses, crying out for help for salvation from his enemy...
An important theme that comes out in my entries and has got me this far is this: I want to live more that my illness wants me to die.
