Question Need info on suboxone

Hi. I am about to start suboxone to get off of hydrocodone. The doctor said it is a 12 week program and then will be weaned. I have heard once on suboxen, it is very hard to get off. PLEASE HELP.

Also, can I take bentyl for stomach cramps while on suboxone?

Also, this doc said I could continue taking small dose of clonipin while on suboxone.

Another doc told me due to most of life being on opiates, I would probably have to be on suboxone forever.

PLEASE someone help me with these questions. Thank you so much. I hope to hear from someone soon as I have appointment tomorrow, but can change it.

I tried to taper off the hydrocodone and I cannot get down under 20 mg a day without withdrawal. The doctors say with suboxen I will feel no more withdrawal then it says causes stomach cramps which is why I want to know about the bentyl. I also have hepatitis C and they say no problem.

HELP. And again thanks, PSsalgal

Re: Need info on suboxone

I am on suboxone and I am doing great. I have been taking it for 1 month. I feel great and I have energy, motivation and all around good. No cravings is wonderful.

I know there is a 12 week program and some say that if you get off the quick the withdraws are little to none. I have heard both horror and good stories of withdraw so I don't think anyone really knows.

I will stay on suboxone for ever if I can. I have not felt this good most of my life. I am a chronic pain person and I have no pain at all since the suboxone.

Sorry I can't answer the question you asked, but I wish you luck and hope the withdraws are not bad for you.
