newbie questions re: oxy withdrawels
I am currently taking 50mg of oxy a dayfor a herniated disc. i have become so tolerant of pain meds that i am surely addicted and want to quit them. how long if i go cold turkey will it take to start feeling physically better? i know i will have to deal with the mental addiction but how long for the really bad withdrawels? i have been taking these for 1 year. thanks and love to everyone on this board.

about 3 weeks for the depression and taper if you can. I think the physical cold turkey side effects lasted about 4 days or so. I suggest that you use the Thomas Recipe. As I have been blogging about, I am tapering right now. I was taking 15 mg every 5 hours plus more to get high. Now i am taking 5 mg 4 times a day and am going to continue to taper.
