I need a success story and some advice. I have been on suboxene 8mg/2mg for about 6 months prescribed by my doctor after a 2 year addication to Norcos. I have been taking 1 pill in the a.m. and 1 pill in the p.m. I have been wanting to get off of Sub so I started taking 1/2 pill in the a.m. and 1/2 pill in the p.m. (I guess that means 4mg/1 mg every day). I decided to try taking 1/2 pill only in the a.m. Everything seemed fine but today, being the 3rd day, I seemed to be getting that anxiety. Anyway, is there a success story to getting off Sub? I read other posts about weaning, but honestly, I don't really understand them. Anyway, I am going to discuss this with my doctor this week I just wondered how others did this successfully. Thanks!

I would still do the Sub....that 36 hours I spent w/drawing from Norco was pure torment to say the least. But...in saying that...I haven't gotten of the Sub yet so I can't really answer that. Going from 2 pills to 1 pill was fine. No problems. I'm going to talk to my doctor this week to find out what her weaning plan is.

If you mean how did the Sub make me feel while I was w/drawing from Norco...it was a miracle! After about 30 minutes I felt OK and after 45 mintues I was a whole new person in the way I felt just an hour before. My doctor wanted me to be in full w/drawals before taking Sub and I was for sure! Ever since I have been on Sub my mind is clear, my family no more complains and I feel whole again. But I'm wanting off all my meds by the new year so I'm starting with the Sub. I hope this helps you.
