dependant on percocets...

hi there i am addicted to percocets and i have been tapering down for quite sometime now i was taking oxycontin and percocets for break through pain. i am now off oxycontins and just on percocets and i keep having troubles staying with my tapering... coming up short and not worrying till the night before i run out .. very smart i know !! i have chronic back issues and been in many car accidents and have bad tooth aches ... and so if it isnt one thing hurting its another . i am trying my hardest to get off these pills but the two days withdrawls which is all ive lasted! sucked so bad it wasnt even funny... it hurts and i feel so fatigued and cant sleep .. and i just dont know what to do please someone help me!

Hi Shaysababe,

The best thing you can do for a withdrawal is not take a narcotic. You will addicted to that (considering your addictive behavior). I understand how hard this is, believe me. However, this will only make you stronger.

I have been in many car accidents as well, and I have serious back pain. I am going to a chiropractor who is treating me very well. I am an addict/alcoholic so I do not take narcotics of any sort. I have wanted to, however, those are the devil! Addiction can kill you. It's harsh but it's true. In my opinion, you should try NA or AA. You will find support there from people who have been in your shoes.
