Oxycontin

I was hoping that someone could answer a question.
I recently had surgery and was placed on Oxycontin. 20mg taken twice a day.
I took it for nine days at that dose. I want to stop taking it, as I am not in the amount of pain that justifies taking it.
The question that I have is will I suffer any withdrawal symptoms from taking it?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Oxycontin

If you've only been taking it for 9 days you should be fine and have no withdrawal. I had a major surgery and was on oxycodone, (same ingredient, but short acting) and was on it for 3-4 weeks and had no problems at all stopping it.
Good Luck to you!
