Zyprexa withdrawal and rebound insomnia

I was wondering if I can get some help or some answers...

I was on zyprexa 2.5 mg nightly for about a year and a half for anxiety...I quit it cold turkey last november...ever since then I have been having bad rebound insomnia...I just wanted to know if this rebound insomnia will really resolve over time, or if it's permanent?..Will my sleep ever come back?.. and
if so, how long does it take?
Comments from zyprexa quitters would be appreciated..

I really need help..thanks

Re: Zyprexa withdrawal and rebound insomnia

Hi HSJ, I dont have experience with drug, but while you wait for a response, have you searched the board using that name as a keyword? It may pull up something.

My only advice is- if u were taking it as a sleep aid, as your body normalizes it should eventually find it's own sleep pattern again. This could take several weeks.
If you have insomnia and are being treated for it by medication, your body will probably go back to its insomnia, as your underlying condition still remains... It was only being masked by the medication. Have you/ can you talk to your doctor?
Best of luck ! I have sleeping issues and I feel for you.
my issues have issues!
