I abused my doctor's confidence by forging prescriptions for Percocet. He had been giving them to me every month and I would make a few more copies to take to different pharmacies. I did this for three years and never got caught. However, with schedule 2 drug tracking in WA, I'm not so sure. Last year I tried to quit and told my doc what i was doing. He stopped prescribing but, after Sept 11, I started forging them again. I've cut myself off by deleting my script template, so I think I'm off for good now.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I consult a lawyer or do you think that if they havent noticed by now, they'll never notice?

If your doc did'nt turn you in then count your blessings! You really starting takeing chances doing it after owning up to it because you never know who he spoke with about it just as a pre-caution. But i would'nt invite trouble....don't bring it up unless someone else does....if your going to get a lawyer then atleast wait until you know you need one. I always thought scripts were almost impossble to recopy/reprint.....how did you get your hands on the equipment/software to do it? Are you also in the medical field?

The Internet taught me everything I know. I found interesting information about writing rx's with minimal effort. There are amazingly devious people out there.

I really dont want to write about it too much because I know that it will encourage others to try it.

I was arrested in 1997 and again in 1998 for forging scripts. Ironically, my brother is a pharmacist in another state. I have been clean since 98, but I know from what he has told me, you can't ever be sure that the police aren't just gathering up a multitude of info and work hand in hand with the Drug Task Forces in every state. Don't get to overly confident that you have gotten away with anything. As for deleting the template that is wonderful. However, if you want the drugs bad enough, you'll find a way. Addicts always do. Please get some help before it is too late.
