Smile different angle

hello.
reading other peoples posts, i find the discussion is problems with withdrawing, and staying straight etc. i NEVER read of someone who is happily addicted. You think YOU have strange situations? i started taking oxycontins a couple of years ago. bought from other people. then i found out i have bladder cancer, but had no insurnce, so my hospital stay was short and sweet. so now, im still paying 15$ each for 40 mil. oc's. i hesitate to even call the doctors about a prescription of my own. i usually get the runaround, in everything i ever attempt.
so, do any of you know where any oc's are for LESS than 15$ each?

oxy - al
I have to give you credit for being honest, and admitting that you intend to keep taking the OC. But I'm wondering if you are suffering from your bladder cancer, and you're in pain, or if your cancer was cured?
Just because you don't have insurance, doesn't mean you can't get treatment for cancer. Go to the nearest University Hospital, and they will probably treat you, or send you somewhere else.
Remember -Illegal immigrants can get hospital treatment, surgeries, prenatal and delivery, etc., for NOTHING! Whether you are a citizen or not, you don't have to go without treatment, just because you don't have health insurance! Get help ASAP. Bladder cancer is curable.

Hi Oxy Al,
Just a quick note to let you know that your actually getting a good "deal" if your only paying $15 for a 40mg. Back in my days of taking whatever pain pill came my way, (which wasnt so long ago-3 months) a 40mg was $20 to $25 for one! Sickening to think that I used to pay that for one......anyway, A prescription for lets say 60 of these for the person who has no insurance could cost up to $300. Buying from the street your usually paying 100% profit at LEAST for each one. These dont come in generic form either, so either way you go, unless you get a prescription of your own, $15 is a pretty reasonable price for the person who wants/needs them. Are you taking a whole one at a time? Just curious about this since that is an awful lot of medicine. My addiction went on for a little over 2 years and still the most I could take of a 40 was a quarter. In fact, they are so potent and so addictive that most of the drug stores around here aren't even filling the scripts for them anymore. Unless you have been on them for over 6 months, they wont fill it. To my knowledge, the doctor cant even write a script with a refill. You have to return to get another prescription. You mentioned that you have been taking these for a few years and actually had started taking them before you found you had bladder cancer. This is one of the most viscious drugs to become addicted too. I know you probably already know this but whenever I hear of someone who is on these, I must warn them. If and when you do decide to come off of them, you cannot do it cold turkey....especially if your up to 40mg's. Seizures and lots of other nasty side effects can occur. A slow taper (which is about impossible for the pain pill addict) is your best bet. But then again, I just read again the part about "not reading about a happily addicted addict". I guess you dont need to know about the withdrawl part! If this is something your going to continue to do just be careful. It's not like your everyday vicodin or even percocet.

A friend-
Mal
