adderall and reoccuring nightmare - Addiction & Recovery Message Board

i am prescribed 50 mg of adderall a day for ADD, however i usually take up to 85.

but EVERY SINGLE TIME i go a day without taking it, i get the same horrible nightmare. i dream im somewhere and all of a sudden my head starts to spin, then i go into a seizure and try to scream but nothing comes out. then ill think i woke up (but im really still dreaming) and i get another seizure and it continues on and on until i really do wake up.

this scares me so much i dont know what is wrong with me. this is everytime i dont take my adderall, and had never happened when i have taken it.

If you were prescibed 50 mg's and are taking 85 mg's... I think that kinda explains a thing or two... don't you think?

Adderall is Speed! Abuse it and you will have consequences. I take 30 mg's of Adderall daily for my ADD. Not too long ago; I took a double dose (honestly by accident). My son takes 36 mg's of Concerta and one morning when I was still very groggy and doling out the meds... I doled one of his to me as well as one of my own doses. Needless to say; that was one horrific day for me!

I can't say that missing a dose is causing you nightmares but you are certainly begging for trouble!

Do yourself a huge favour and stick with the dose that the doc has set up for you and no more. This board is full of those addicted to prescribed drugs; do you really want to become one of the many who made a wrong turn?
