hi cjp - i responded to one of your earlier posts - if your heart is OK according to a cardiologist maybe you can think about having all your hormones checked. That heart thumping is scary - it feels like it's going to bust right out of your chest, but only for a second or so, and sometimes will skip a beat or it feels like it's rushing to catch up to the next beat. Then it goes away - it use to happen to me a number of times throughout the day until I had everything tested. Do not attempt to correct any of your hormones, even naturally, without the help of a qualified physician who understands it, and you've been tested.

CJP, yes, I've had a premature beat from time to time, all my life. I'm retirement age now. Fainted several times as a teenagers, when weather was unbearably hot or other stresses. Did it ever happen to you? If so, that must be why. I'm afraid of too much exercise, like a stress test, too.

Always had low thyroid, have diabetes, and until about a week ago always had high blood pressure, since having my children, all grown now. Allergies too.

Do you get pain in one or both arms when there's simply a burp coming up in your chest? I don't know if it's diabetic neuropathy or what. One doctor says there's a nerve that gets affected with even the slightest chest disturbance. The chest doesn't hurt, just the arm. It's being treated for a pulled muscle, but this has been going on for years, off and on.

I can totally relate CJP. My heart would feel like that a lot during the day and of course the first diagnosis was anxiety attacks because I'm a woman! I insisted that wasn't it and had a stress test (5mph for 12 minutes, uphill) definitely not cardiac. I also had an echocardiogram and a 24-hour holter monitor all of which were normal. Since I have been found a new doctor that listens she has diagnosed me with Stage II Adrenal Dysfunction and I'm taking adrenal support and Pregnenolone 30mg along with lots of stomach support because I'm also allergic to eggs, dairy, soy, and wheat. The palpitations have disappeared except last night when I had it for two hours after I went to bed. Could it have been the bag of jelly beans I ate? Sugar definitely has an adverse reaction for me.

Re: heart palpitations anyone???????

about three weeks ago I started having palpitations in my heart they go on for hours I have no other systems except maybe heart burn. I am worried that there is something worng with my heart but have had palpitations before due to stress. I am 41 and am thinking it could be hormonal but it only seems to occure when I eat or do not eat. If I sit and relax they are not as often but if I move around I find I have them and they are not more then one every couple mins. I am going to have tests on my stomach. but any answer would be wonderful what I can do at home and no I do not drink coffeee or soda with caffinee I do smoke. Sue
